It Starts With You

I will be the first to admit that self-love hasn't always been the most natural thing for me. But man oh man, does your life change when you accept your flaws, imperfections, and things that make you perfectly you. YOU were created individually, uniquely, and beautifully by our creator of heaven and earth. How amazing is that?

Recently, I have been digging deep and finding the answers to the questions that most of us ask ourselves daily.

- Who am I?
- What do I want to do with my life?
- What do I have that sets me apart from everyone else?
- What are my dreams, goals, and plans?

The questions go on and on, but I made a promise to myself to stop searching for the answers and letting the answers come to me. We live in a cruel world, but we also live in an amazing world with endless opportunities, love, and positive energy when you surround yourself with the right people. The people who see past your flaws and love us for exactly who we are, the people who put light into our lives and bring us joy, the people who inspire us to be the best version of ourselves that we have been seeking to be.

This life starts with YOU. This life is no one else's but yours. In fact, no one can help to change where you are in it. No one can put a band-aid on it and fix it. The reality is that each of us individually is in charge of our lives and the outcome of them. But I'll tell you it gets a lot easier to live a life when you start putting yourself first.

For a long time, actually, like most of my life, I thought putting myself first was selfish, when in reality it is so the opposite. Focusing on yourself is one of the hardest things to do. I mean deeply concentrating on yourself. Understanding who you are as person. It is not easy, and it is ongoing process especially for all of us in our twenties. Things are continually changing, and we are continually growing.

Right now, take the leap of faith, follow your heart and gut and live this life for you. Go places you have never been. Listen to your intuition. Seek our creator for strength and guidance. Try new foods. Do something positive you have never done before. Pay it forward. Be driven in your career and goals but don't let work consume you. Leave things behind that are harmful. Again, who am I to give any advice when I am figuring it all out too. But if my honest thoughts and experience could help any of you just a little, then I am okay with that.

So today, start with you.

xx
