NYC Recap

New York, you were a dream. After flight delays, replacing the trip, missing events, and sore feet from walking the city in four-inch heels, I can officially say that New York was worth it all. Court and I's travels got pushed back a few days, but we still managed to make it to New York Fashion Week.

The week consisted of amazing street style, runway shows, incredible eats, and exploring. I now understand why they call it, the city that never sleeps. We were fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of the Carolina Herrera show, talk fashion with Miss. Jay Alexander, and see Club Monaco's Fashion Week installation. Club Monaco traded the catwalk for mirrors that let you choose your perspective of the Spring 2018 collection based on light, shadows, and reflection. Isn't that amazing?

This city is filled with inspiration that cannot be explained. From the architecture to the people and everything in between, there was beauty in each. The abundance of creativity and art is overwhelming and oh so refreshing compared to the midwest. Just ask Courtney, she may or may not have told me to stop staring at people, but in my defense, I was just admiring someone's style.

There is so much exploring to be done here and not nearly enough time in a day. But don't worry NYC, I'll be back for you sooner than you think. Here's to a full heart and endless inspiration from a city of dreamers.
