5 Reasons Why I Blog

When I started blogging nearly 2.5 years ago I had no idea what I was doing or where it was going to take me. Often times, I think the blogging world gets a bad wrap and that people think it is just a bunch of men and women who like to take pictures and that it can't be a real career. Let me tell you this, blogging is a full time job in itself, which leads me to the 5 Reasons Why I Blog.

1. I am challenged everyday. The blogging world is constantly changing and developing. Which means I am constantly learning. Having a blog challenges me to always be thinking outside of the box and to always be gaining knowledge on every aspect that I can. I truly believe knowledge is power and that blogging has pushed me to be a better and deeper thinker.

2. I get to meet and collaborate with inspiring people. This is by far my favorite thing about being a blogger. It has led me to meet incredible people I would have never met before, such as photographers, other bloggers, and companies, each of them has inspired me along the way with their creativity and passion. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories, like what led them to where they are now in life. I genuinely believe that the blogging community and creative community is made up of some of the best people who are actually rooting for one another and wanting others to succeed. What's better than that?

3. It is my personal diary. While I am not sharing every single aspect of my life, I am constantly reflecting on where I have been and where I have yet to go. It allows me to write it all out on paper and view back when I need a reminder of how far I have come in life.

4. I became a total goal setter. Before I started blogging I would set goals for myself every now and then but nothing compared to how I do now. While of course some of my goals are blog related, such as specific companies I want to work with, many of them are just life goals in general. I don't know about you but there is nothing more rewarding than achieving one of your goals. Whose with me?

5. I started to find myself. I definitely don't have it all figured out and I fully don't have myself all figured out but amazingly enough blogging has helped me find and realize who I am. From what I want to see and expect from myself to what things bring me pure joy. I've learned that sitting at a coffee shop working away with my head phones in is by far one of my favorite things in life, aka I love me time. I realized how much I hated the word perfect and how being imperfect is one of the greatest gifts in life.

Blogging is by far a job that is 24 hours a day and seven days a week if you let it be. It is one of the best risks I have ever taken in my life by far. Now, coming from a very small blogger in the midst of the blogging community, please hear me when I say thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading and following along. I cannot even begin to express what it means to me when people say, "I love reading your blog." If there is any topics you are wanting to know about or any questions you may have, feel free to send me an email or comment on this post. Thanks again for being a part of my journey.

xx
