DIY Wrapping Paper

Step 1: The supplies you need will be brown wrapping paper, which you can find at your local craft store, tape, scissors, Sharpie markers, and a Sharpie pen.

Step 2: After measuring the amount of paper needed for your gift, cut the paper from the roll and secure it with invisible tape.

Step 3: To ensure for crisp corners and easy folding, cut excess amount of paper left on each end.

Step 4:  Again, secure the ends with invisible tape.

Step 5:  Now that your gift it wrapped, the fun part begins. I prefer to use a Sharpie pen rather than the thicker marker. Draw simple designs such as a tree, christmas lights, and holiday wording.

Step 6: Pick your favorite colors from your Sharpie collection and start coloring in your designs.

Step 7: Reminder, your drawings do not need to be perfect. In fact, they look better when they are imperfect and more like sketch book work.

Step 8: After coloring in your designs, you are done! Feel free to add some extra touches like gold ribbon.

DIY wrapping paper is a great way to customize gifts and add your personal touch. It also is a great way to save money instead of spending money on a bunch of rolls of different patterns of paper. Not sure what to do for designs? Heres my ideas:

- Stars
- Reindeer
- Greenery
- Santa Hats
- Holiday Writing
- Christmas Lights
(Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays,
Silent Night, Ho Ho Ho, Merry & Bright)

Get creative and think about the person you are giving the gift to and their personality and interest. Have fun!
