Fall Feels Sweet

Everyone's favorite season (including mine) has officially arrived, and it sure feels sweet. Just a couple of weeks ago I was venturing the streets of Boulder, Colorado with three of my college besties. This hippy city was nothing short of beautiful with the Rocky Mountains landscape hanging out in the background.

Let me get just one thing straight, I am one of the people that keep ice cream businesses in business when it's cold. Call me crazy, but ice cream is my weakness no matter what the thermometer says. With an ice cream cone in my hand and the chilly weather, I was sure to layer up.

One of my absolute favorite things about fall is the ability to layer different textures and patterns, because in my book, the more the merrier. When it comes to layering pieces, the options are limitless. I layered my new Wild Rose sweater from Nordstrom Rack underneath this amaze Joseph A. cardigan. Sadly, the plaid print is sold out but you can find the same one in solid colors here. I love the contrast in textures between the sweater and cardigan, as well as the mixture of black and browns. Styling is all about owning what you are wearing. If you feel good, you look good. If you aren't questioning your outfit then neither is anybody else.

Be sure to check out later posts on the staple pieces you need for layering and what type of layering best suite your style!
