Little Getaways

If you're anything like me, I've had the travel bug like crazy lately. With no time to jump in the car for a road trip or book a flight and head to a beautiful destination, I am taking little getaways to feed the bug.

Let me just say that little getaways are TOTALLY underrated. But seriously, I love a short road trip jamming in the car and exploring new cities. I took my little getaway to Kansas City, Missouri, which is not a first for me and you'll understand why once you visit! This place is full of quaint places, kind people, and good coffee. What more could you ask for?

Today I'm sharing with you my top five favorite places in KC that you need to put on your getaway list.

Ready. Set. Go.

Top Five Favorites

1. Goat Hill Coffee & Soda: This place is the perfect hangout spot to enjoy good, I mean REALLY good coffee. The service is stellar and  the atmosphere is ideal for getting work done while rocking out to your favorite tunes.

2. KCMO Art District: Love good food, unique shops, and art? If your answer is yes then the KCMO Art District is just the place for you. There is a wide range of restraunts with delicious food for whatever mood you're feeling. I'm a sucker for small unique shops and the Art District has some rad ones like, Coki Bijoux Fine Jewelry! Lastly, it has numerous galleries filled with beautiful art.

3. The Art of Pizza: Where my pizza lovers at? Okay fun fact, I actually didn't like pizza until a couple of years ago. Let's just be thankful that I came to my senses. The Art of Pizza is a small shop that sells 'zaaaa by the slice so you don't have to eat the whole pie, because we all know that who ever says they can't eat a whole pizza is a liar. I recommend try a slice of my favorite, pineapple pizza!

4. Country Club Plaza: If you're on the hunt for some good traditional shopping with a variety of stores head to Country Club Plaza! This is where you can find your Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, Free People, Lululemon, and the list goes on. It is also packed with great restaurants!

5. Power & Light District: The place to dine, drink, and play. It has countless places for burgers & brews, nightlife & entertainment, as well as a few shops. Making it a perfect fit for the 21 and older club!

I'll be back KC.
